Mr. Matthew K. Rose is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation, Fort Worth, Texas since March 2002. He is Director since 2000. He is also, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company’s subsidiary, BNSF Railway Company. Previously, President and Chief Executive Officer of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation from December 2000 to March 2002; and President and Chief Operating Officer from June 1999 to December 2000. He is also a Director of AMR Corporation and Centex Corporation. BNSF Director since 2000.

Mr. Thomas N. Hund has been an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since January 2001. Prior to that, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer from August 1999.

Mr. Carl R. Ice has been an Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation, since January 2001. Prior to that, Senior Vice President-Operations from June 1999.

Mr. John P. Lanigan, Jr., has been an Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since January 2003. Prior to that, President and Chief Executive Officer of Logistics.com, Inc. (provider of ASP-based transportation procurement services to shippers and carriers) from May 2000.

Mr. Roger Nober has been an Executive Vice President - Law and Secretary since of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since January 2007. Prior to that, partner of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, Washington, DC (law firm) from March 2006; Chairman of the United States Surface Transportation Board from November 2002 - January 2006; and the counselor to the Deputy Secretary of Transportation of the United States Department of Transportation from May 2001 - November 2002.

Ms. Linda Longo-Kazanova has been appointed as Vice President–Human Resources and Medical of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since May 2007. Prior to that, Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Business Optimization for Bell & Howell Company, later named ProQuest Company, from 2000.

Mr. Peter J. Rickershauser has been Vice President - Network Development of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since May 1999.

Mr. Edward E. Whitacre, Jr., is the Lead Director of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation. He is Director since 1993. Mr. Whitacre has served as the Chairman Emeritus of AT&T Inc., Dallas, Texas (communications holding company) since June 2007. He previously served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AT&T Inc., from January 1990 until he retired in June 2007. Mr. Whitacre is also a director of Exxon Mobil Corporation.

Mr. Roy S. Roberts is the Director of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since 1993. Mr. Roberts has served as the Managing Director of Reliant Equity Investors, L.L.C., Chicago, Illinois (private equity firm) since September 2000. In April 2000, he retired from General Motors Corporation, Detroit, Michigan (manufacturer of motor vehicles), where he was Group Vice President, North American Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing, a position he had held since July 1999. Mr. Roberts is also a director of Abbott Laboratories and Enova Systems, Inc.

Mr. Marc J. Shapiro is the Director of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since 1995. Mr. Shapiro is a consultant and non-executive chairman of Chase Bank of Texas. He retired in September 2003 as Vice Chairman for Finance, Risk Management and Administration of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., New York, New York (bank holding company), a position he had held since 1997. He is also a director of Kimberly-Clark Corporation and The Mexico Fund, Inc. and a trustee of Weingarten Realty Investors.

Mr. Robert H. West is the Director of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since 1980. Mr. West retired in July 1999 as Chairman of Butler Manufacturing Company, Kansas City, Missouri (manufacturer of pre-engineered building systems and specialty components). Previously, he served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Butler Manufacturing Company from May 1986 to January 1999 and as Chairman from January 1999 until his retirement. He is also a director of Commerce Bancshares, Inc. and Great Plains Energy, Inc.

Mr. J. Steven Whisler is the Director of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since 1995. Mr. Whisler retired in March 2007 as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Phelps Dodge Corporation, Phoenix, Arizona (mining and manufacturing company), a position he had held since November 2003. Previously, Mr. Whisler was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Phelps Dodge Corporation from May 2000 to October 2003. He is also a director of Aleris International, Inc., US Airways Group, Inc., Brunswick Corporation and International Paper Company.

Mr. Alan L. Boeckmann is the Director of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since 2001. Mr. Boeckmann has served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fluor Corporation, Irving, Texas (professional services holding company offering engineering, construction management and other services) since February 2002. Mr. Boeckmann is also a director of Fluor Corporation and BHP Billiton Limited.

Mr. Marc F. Racicot is the Director of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since 2001. Mr. Racicot was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Insurance Association, Washington, D.C. (property-casualty insurance trade organization) from September 2005 to February 2009. Previously, he was a partner at Bracewell & Giuliani, L.L.P., Washington, D.C. (law firm) from February 2001 to August 2005; Chairman of Bush-Cheney ’04, Inc. (political organization) from July 2003 to November 2004; Chairman of Republican National Committee (political organization) from January 2002 to July 2003; and Governor of the State of Montana from 1993 to 2001. Mr. Racicot is also a director of Allied Capital Corporation and Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company.

Mr. J.C. Watts, Jr. is the Director of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since 2003. Mr. Watts has served as a senior partner of Oakcrest Capital Partners, LLC, Washington, D.C. (private equity firm), since its founding in 2006, and as the Chairman of J.C. Watts Companies L.L.C./Watts Partners, Washington, D.C. (public affairs and corporate consulting business) since its founding in January 2003. Previously, Mr. Watts was a member of Congress (R-4th Dist.-Okla.) from January 1995 to January 2003, and Chairman of the House Republican Conference from 1999 to 2003.

General Donald G. Cook is the Director of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation since 2005. General Cook retired in August 2005 as Commander, Air Training and Education Command, United States Air Force, a position he had held from December 2001. Previously, General Cook served as Vice Commander, Air Combat Command, United States Air Force, from June 1999 to December 2001 and Vice Commander Air Force Space Command from August 1998 to June 1999. General Cook is also a director of Crane Corporation and Hawker Beechcraft Aircraft Company.

Dr. Cynthia Ann Telles is the Director of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation. Dr. Telles is a professor in the UCLA School of Medicine and the Director of the Spanish Speaking Psychosocial Clinic of the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital. Dr. Telles serves on the boards of the Americas United Bank, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals, Inc., The California Endowment, serving as Board Chair from April 2004 to April 2006, the Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County, the California Community Foundation, the Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic, and the National Alliance for Hispanic Health. She previously served on the board of the United California Bank (formerly Sanwa Bank of California) for eight years. She is a member of the Mental Health Task Force for the Carter Center in Atlanta. She was appointed to the National Advisory Council to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (Department of Health and Human Services) during the Clinton administration, and served as Chair of the Board of the National Coalition of Hispanic Health and Human Service Organizations in Washington, D.C. Dr. Telles received her bachelor’s degree from Smith College in Northhampton, Mass., and her doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Boston University. She has published extensively in the area of mental health, particularly with respect to the assessment and treatment of Hispanic populations.
