Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited is an India-based oil marketing company. The Company is engaged in the production of liquid and gaseous fuels, illuminating oils, lubricating oils or greases or other products from crude petroleum or bituminous minerals. It is also engaged in the manufacture of other petroleum products, such as petroleum bitumen and other residues of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals. It produces and supplies various fuels, including high speed diesel, motor spirit (petrol) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). It operates through two segments: Downstream petroleum, such as refining and marketing of petroleum products and Exploration and Production of hydrocarbons (E&P). The Company has refineries at Mumbai and Kochi, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) bottling plants and lube blending plants. It also has approximately five megawatt (MW) capacity windmills in Kappatguda, Karnataka and approximately 0.5 MW wind farm in Tamil Nadu.
