Electricite de Strasbourg SA is a France-based electricity distributor engaged in two principal activities: managing the network and selling energy and services. Managing the network involves building, developing, maintaining and renewing the electricity network of more than 13,000 kilometers. The selling energy and services division comprises services related to the sale, promotion and advice on handling energy. These are aimed at individuals, professionals, enterprises and collectivities. The Company serves 408 communities in Bas-Rhin region of France. Electricite de Strasbourg SA operates through three subsidiaries: wholly owned ES Developpement Durable SAS and S1 SAS, as well as Fipares SA. The Company is a subsidiary of Eletricite de France.

Mr. Philippe Josse has been Representative of the French Government on the Board of Directors of Electricite de France SA since April 12, 2006. He started his career as an Administrator in the Senate, then continued at the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, where he worked notably as a Deputy Chief of Staff of the Minister of the Budget and Budgetary Reform, and as a Deputy Chief of Staff of the Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industry. Then, he was a Consultant on Industrial Affairs within the Ministry of Defence cabinet from May 2002 to May 2007. From July 2007 to July 2008, he was the Head of Demand and Energy Markets within the general management of the Energy and Raw Materials Division (DGEMP). He was then appointed Head of Energy at the General Directorate for Energy and Climate Division of the Ministry for the Environment, Energy, Development and Land Planning on July 2008. Mr. Abadie is also a Government Commissioner to the National Agency for the Management of radioactive Waste (ANDRA) and Substitute of the government commissioner to Areva NC.

Mr. Bruno Lafont has been a Board Member of Electricite de France SA since May 20, 2008 and is the Chairman of the Nominating and Remuneration committee of the Company. Mr. Lafont graduated from Hautes Etudes Commerciales and Ecole Nationale d'Administration Publique in 1977 and 1982, respectively. He began his career at Lafarge in 1983. In 1994, he was appointed Group Executive Vice President, Finance and joined the group’s Executive Committee. In 1998, he was appointed Manager of the plaster sector. He was appointed to the group’s Board of Directors on 25 May 2005 and became Managing Director (CEO) on January 1, 2006. He has been the Chairman and Managing Director (CEO) of Lafarge since May 2007. Mr. Lafont is the Co-President of the Cement Sustainability Initiative of the WBCSD, where he is co-responsible for the "Energy Efficiency in Buildings" project. He is also Counsellor to the mayor of Chongqing, China.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences of the University of Strasbourg and from the Ecole Nationale d’Administration. He began his career as Secretary of Foreign Affairs to the Directorate of the United Nations from 1977 to 1980, and then became Technical Advisor in the Office of the Minister of Foreign Trade (1980-1981). Advisor to the Permanent Representation of France to the European Communities in Brussels from 1981 to 1984, he then held the functions of Head of International Relations at the Ministry of Industrial Redeployment and Foreign Trade (Oil directorate) until 1985. At that time, he was appointed Deputy Secretary General SGCI (Interministerial Committee for issues of European Economic Cooperation), a position he held until 1990. Member of the working group charged with developing a future outlook of all the consequences of introducing the European single market from 1988 to 1990, he became Minister-Counsellor at the French Embassy in Rome in 1990, and then Minister-Counsellor, Deputy Permanent Representative for France to the European Union in Brussels from 1992 to 1997. In 1997, he was appointed Director of European Cooperation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before being appointed Chief of Staff of the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1997 to 2002. Ambassador, Permanent Representative for France to the European Union in Brussels since 2002, he was awarded the title of Ambassador of France in November 2008. Mr. Sellal is the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs as of April 14, 2009.
