TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

Balfour Beatty plc (the "Group" or "Balfour Beatty"), the international infrastructure group, announces that, in accordance with the terms of its share buyback programme announced on 11 March 2022 (the "Share Buyback"), the Group purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 50 pence each through Numis Securities Limited.

The Group will hold the repurchased shares in treasury. Following the purchase of these shares, the remaining number of ordinary shares in issue will be 627,996,984 (excluding treasury shares).

 

The Group has to date, under the Share Buyback, repurchased 11,408,285 ordinary shares at a volume weighted average price of 253.4730 pence, which are to be held in treasury with no voting rights attached. In addition to the shares repurchased under the Share Buyback, the Group also holds 50,334,350 shares in Treasury.  Following the latest repurchase, the Group owns a total of 61,742,635 shares in treasury. Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 627,996,984. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in Balfour Beatty plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
