July Quarterly Dividend

European Assets Trust PLC ("the Company") announces that a dividend of 1.755 pence per share will be paid on 31 July 2020 to shareholders on the register on 10 July 2020, having an ex-dividend date of 9 July 2020. 

While the future economic and financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic cannot be assessed, as at 29 June 2020, the latest practicable date prior to publication of this announcement, the Company's €45 million multi-currency loan facility with RBSI was undrawn. In addition, as at that date, the Company had a cash balance of £4 million and a Distributable Reserve of £383 million.

On 7 January 2020, in accordance with its distribution policy, the Company announced a total dividend of 7.020 pence per share, payable in four equal instalments of 1.755 pence throughout 2020, providing an annual payment to shareholders representing six per cent of the closing net asset value per share of the Company as at 31 December 2019.

The Company paid a first interim dividend of 1.755 pence in January 2020 and a second in April 2020.  In addition to this July dividend, the Company intends to declare and pay a further dividend of 1.755 pence in October 2020.
