Reference is made to the notice of redemption delivered by Anglo American Capital plc on September 30, 2020 (the "Notice of Redemption") to holders of the 4.125% Senior Notes due April 15, 2021 (the "April 2021 Notes") and the 3.750% Senior Notes due April 10, 2022 (the "April 2022 Notes" and, together with the April 2021 Notes, the "Notes") as supplemented on October 2, 2020 and October 27, 2020.

The Issuer hereby informs holders of the Notes that $307,500,000 of the $500,000,000 outstanding April 2021 Notes and all of the outstanding April 2022 Notes have been redeemed and cancelled, and the Issuer has requested to cancel the notes from the United Kingdom Listing Authority's Official List.

Terms used but not defined herein shall have the meaning given to them in the Notice of Redemption. The Issuer has notified the holders pursuant to the terms of the Notes.
