2020 Annual Report and Notice of AGM

The Unite Group plc announces that it has published today our 2020 Annual Report and the Notice of Meeting for the Company's 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM). The documents are available on the Company's website at: http://www.unite-group.co.uk/investors. Printed copies have been posted to shareholders who have elected to receive paper communication.

 

Arrangements for the AGM

The AGM will take place at the Company's registered office at South Quay, Temple Back, Bristol BS1 6FL at 09.30 a.m. on 13 May 2021.  However, due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions and considering the health, safety and welfare of our shareholders, employees and stakeholders, the AGM will be conducted as a closed meeting and unfortunately shareholders and others will not be able to attend in person.  The Company will arrange for the necessary quorum to be in attendance so that the meeting is able to conduct its formal business.  Shareholders are strongly encouraged to exercise their rights at the AGM by voting remotely on all the resolutions, by appointing the chair of the meeting as their proxy.  Details of how to vote by proxy are set out in the Notice of Meeting.


Shareholder engagement and questions for the Board 

The Board considers it important there are opportunities to listen to views of shareholders and give them the opportunity to ask questions of the Board beyond the formal business of the AGM.  Shareholders are therefore invited to ask questions of the Board, which should be sent to: CoSecAGM2021@unitestudents.com.  The Board will seek to respond to questions received by 5pm on Friday 30 April 2021 no later than Thursday 6 May 2021 in order to give shareholders an opportunity to consider these answers for their proxy voting.  The Board anticipates publishing questions and responses on the Company's website at: https://www.unite-group.co.uk/investors/agm-2021.  
 
Copies of the 2020 Annual Report and the 2021 Notice of AGM have been submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at:
