TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS
In accordance with Chapter 5 (Vote Holder and Issuer Notification Rules) of the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules (the "DTRs"), Melrose makes the following announcement:
As at the 30 June 2022 Melrose has a total of 4,294,711,417 ordinary shares of 160/21 pence each issued and admitted to trading and each share carries the right to one vote (the "Ordinary Shares"). The Ordinary Shares include 26,018,643 ordinary shares of 160/21 pence each which will be cancelled on 5 July 2022 in accordance with the ongoing share buyback programme of the Company.
Melrose holds no shares in treasury.
Therefore, at the start of business 30 June, 2022 the total voting rights figure of 4,294,711,417 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Melrose under the DTRs.
