Trex composite decking was invented more than 30 years ago as a way to give new life and enhanced value to something otherwise considered as waste – discarded plastic bread bags. Today, the company continues to make its world-renowned decking using a proprietary mix of recycled polyethylene plastic film and reclaimed wood scrap, which accounts for up to 95% of the material in its decking products.
