HomeGoods commissioned a recent study revealing that 85% of Americans want to make time for things that spark happiness, especially since only 26% of Americans are satisfied with their current routine. A simple change — like dedicating even 15–30 minutes a day to a new activity — was shown to increase productivity (50%), energy (48%), and optimism (46%).

HomeGoods commissioned an online survey managed by Edelman Data & Intelligence (DXI) that fielded between March 5th – March 12th, 2025, across U.S. adults aged 18-65. HomeGoods surveyed 2,000 respondents in total – 500 of whom are mothers (or legal guardians) of children of any age.
