Initiative Supports Carrier's New Purpose—Enhancing the Lives We Live and the World We Share

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. , June 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, today announced a collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation, the world's largest tree planting charitable organization, committing to plant 5 million trees by 2030. The initiative, "For the Air We Breathe, For the World We Share," reinforces Carrier's new purpose by supporting nature-based solutions to help conserve energy and reduce heating and cooling costs, all while protecting the health of the planet.

Under this collaboration, Carrier will plant 1 million trees annually for five years, helping to improve air quality, generate oxygen, filter water and contribute positively to the restoration of our planet's most vulnerable ecosystems. Carrier will directly involve customers and employees by inviting them to help select one of the first planting locations, which will be announced later this year.

Alongside these large-scale reforestation efforts, Carrier will support localized urban forestry efforts to address extreme heat in communities where its employees live, work and operate. According to the Arbor Day Foundation, strategically planted trees can provide shade that helps reduce urban temperatures by up to 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Carrier employees worldwide will be able to volunteer in local tree-planting activities, directly putting Carrier's purpose into action.
