SFC Energy secures follow-up order from Latium Technologies for EFOY Pro fuel cells in Canadian CCTV projects

  • Latium Technologies deploys EFOY Pro fuel cells in autonomous hybrid CCTV security systems for remote sites
  • Strong footprint in Canada’s energy and infrastructure sector
  • Partnership supports sustainable, off-grid surveillance with AI-driven threat detection and low-emission energy supply

Brunnthal/Munich, Germany, 20 August 2025SFC Energy AG (“SFC”, F3C:DE, ISIN: DE0007568578), a leading provider of fuel cells for stationary, portable, and mobile hybrid power solutions, has received a follow-up order from Latium Technologies (“Latium”), based in Nisku, Alberta, Canada. The order volume amounts to CAD 1.2 million and includes the delivery of EFOY Pro 2800 fuel cells and methanol cartridges.

Latium is a key partner in SFC’s market expansion into smart CCTV surveillance applications. With its AI-powered Job Site Security solutions, Latium provides 24/7 live monitoring of industrial and heavy-duty sites, including construction, mining, oil and gas, and pipelines. These off-grid systems utilize EFOY Pro fuel cells from SFC in combination with solar power to ensure continuous autonomous operation in remote and harsh environments – without relying on traditional power infrastructure.

The follow-up order highlights the growing demand for sustainable, off-grid security solutions, particularly in the rapidly expanding CCTV market. Remote construction and industrial sites are vulnerable to theft, vandalism, and unauthorised access due to their isolation and lack of fixed infrastructure. Latium’s CCTV security towers mitigate these risks with energy-efficient, AI-driven surveillance that provides instant alerts, real-time data, and rapid response through its 24/7 in-house Security Operations Centre (SOC).

Latium integrates SFC’s EFOY Pro fuel cells into its CCTV security towers to ensure power generation in all weather conditions. The fuel cells complement solar energy seamlessly, bridging power gaps during periods of insufficient sunlight and when battery levels drop below a predefined threshold. They offer continuous, reliable power output and low-maintenance, low-emission operation.

Hans Pol, COO of SFC Energy AG: “We are proud to strengthen our collaboration with Latium Technologies and support their innovative and sustainable approach to remote surveillance. This follow-up order confirms both the quality of our fuel cell technology and our strategic expansion into the growing CCTV market. The combination of solar energy with our EFOY Pro fuel cells enables a clean, efficient and highly reliable power solution for demanding environments.”

Antonio Pecorilli, President of Latium Technologies: “Our mission is to redefine job site security through intelligent, autonomous and eco-friendly systems. The EFOY Pro fuel cells by SFC are a vital part of our hybrid power setup, allowing us to provide uninterrupted service in even the most remote and power-challenged locations. As we scale our AI-driven CCTV solutions across Canada, SFC continues to be a trusted partner in delivering sustainable energy performance.”
