Expanding Access to Clean Water
In 2025, Zurn Elkay products helped provide 2.4 billion gallons of cleaner, safer filtered drinking water in schools, hospitals, workplaces and public spaces through the use of Elkay commercial-grade filters. Those solutions helped prevent approximately 20 billion single-use plastic bottles from entering landfills and waterways through the use of Elkay bottle filling stations. The company also expanded its residential and light commercial filtration offerings with Liv EZ, expanding commercial-grade water quality into homes. Through Zurn Elkay’s Fountains for Youth signature charitable giving program, the company continues donating bottle filling stations to schools in under-resourced communities.
Advancing
As awareness of drinking water contaminants like PFAS, lead and microplastics increases, Zurn Elkay launched a water filter certified to reduce Total PFAS (as defined by NSF/ANSI 53) and other contaminants, further demonstrating a commitment to providing cleaner, safer drinking water through certified, high-performance filtration technology. The company also launched the Elkay Pro Filtration line, engineered with high-capacity filtration, extended filter life and simplified maintenance to help facilities address aging water infrastructure efficiently.
Strengthening Environmental Stewardship Including Filter Recycling
To further strengthen water stewardship and transparency, Zurn Elkay set a new water withdrawal intensity reduction target of 3% by 2030 and deepened its engagement in the Global Water Council’s WAVE: Assess program. Increased procurement of renewable electricity and reduction in emissions continued across the business. Two production facilities were validated as zero-waste-to-landfill according to a new internal procedure. Addressing the sustainability of drinking water filters, the company partnered with TerraCycle to introduce a recycling program for used filters.
“We create solutions that make water safer and more sustainable, and that purpose continues to guide our actions, from our product innovations to how we care for our associates, customers and communities,” Adams said.
