SL Green Realty Corp. is a self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development, ownership, management, and operation of commercial and residential real estate properties, principally office properties, located in the New York metropolitan area. The Company operates through two segments: Real Estate, and Debt and Preferred Equity Investments. Its business objective is to maximize the total return to stockholders, through net income attributable to common stockholders and funds from operations (FFO), and through asset value appreciation. It also owns or held interests in approximately 11 prime retail properties encompassing over seven buildings in differing stages of development or redevelopment. The Company owns a building that comprises approximately 140,382 square feet of residential space and approximately 50,206 square feet of office and retail space that is under development. It also owns an interest in 245 Park Avenue.
