About the company

JSE Limited is a South Africa-based stock exchange. It offers markets with regulation, trading and clearing systems, settlement assurance as well as risk management. Its segments include Capital markets, Post-trade services, and Information services. It acts as the regulator, setting listings requirements and enforcing trading rules, while reporting to the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) as the lead regulator. It offers three boards on which companies can gain exposure and raise capital. The equity market has two boards, namely the Main board and AltX, with the third being the Debt/Interest Rate market. The Debt/Interest Rate market differs from the equity boards in that investors buy the debt of the issuer and not the shareholding. Its derivatives market consists of equities, commodities, bonds, interest rate, and currencies. It also offers both local and foreign company listings and gives access to more than 800 listed securities and approximately 400 listed companies.
