business premises renovation allowance

The business premises renovation allowance scheme provides a 100 per cent allowance for the costs of renovating or converting business premises in specified areas which have remained vacant for a year or more.

These provisions were originally only in place for capital expenditure incurred before 11 April 2012. At the 2011 Budget, the UK government announced that it would extend the allowance for a further five years (to April 2017). [1]
