disguised remuneration

Although aimed at tax avoidance by UK employers – in particular tax avoidance involving loans and trusts – the legislation on ‘disguised remuneration’ is complex and quite widely drawn. The legislation refers to the provision of “rewards, recognition or loans” through ‘third parties’, in other words, entities other than the employer and employee. [1]
