Sociedad Agricola la Rosa Sofruco SA is a Chile-based company engaged in the food and beverage industry. The Company’s activities include the production and commercialization of fresh fruit, such as oranges, plums, apricots, pears, grapefruits, lemons and apples; dried fruit, which include coconuts, raisins and dried prunes, as well as juices, honeys and wines. In addition, the company, through its subsidiary Vina La Rosa SA, produces and distributes wine. The Company operates over 12,000 hectares of fruit plantations, vineyards and processing facilities, which are located in the Cachapoal Province, region of O’Higgings. As of December 2011, the Company owned such other subsidiaries as Sofruco Alimentos Ltda, Comercial South Fruit Ltda and Vina La Rosa USA Inc, and Compania de Inversiones Mobiliaria e Inmobiliaria Mar del Plata SA was its majority shareholder with 50.35% of its interest.
