Compania Industrial el Volcan SA is a Chile-based company engaged in the manufacture, distribution and sale of raw materials and supplies used for industrial processes and in the construction and agricultural sectors. The Company's product portfolio includes plaster boards and plaster for construction, joint compounds, thermal and acoustic insulation materials for homes and industrial facilities, transparent glass and polyvinyl chloride panels, asphalt tiles, accessories and adhesives, among others. The Company also produces gypsum in different forms, which are distributed under the Fertiyeso, Volcanita, Super, Express and Casoprano. As of December 31, 2012, the Company owned such subsidiaries as Transportes Yeso Ltda, Aislantes Volcan SA, Minera Lo Valdes Ltda, Inversiones Volcan SA, Fibrocementos Volcan Ltda and Soluciones Constructivas Volcan SAC. Forestal Peumo SA is the Company’s major shareholder with 34.80% of its interest.
