Announcement of Capex Plan for FY 2022


Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD), on October 27, 2022,

announced its capital expenditure ("capex") plan of approximately KRW 54.0 trillion.




To increase competitiveness of key businesses


- Total planned capex: approximately KRW 54.0 trillion

·  Device Solutions: KRW 47.7 trillion

·  Samsung Display Corp.: KRW 3.0 trillion

- DS Investments: memory and foundry infrastructure to address future demand;

capacity expansion and process migration to increase production capacity of

advanced processes; etc.
