SUPPLEMENTAL ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO PROPOSED  APPOINTMENT  OF SUPERVISOR

Reference is made to the announcement (the "Announcement") dated 3 December 2019 and the supplemental notice of the extraordinary general meeting (the "Supplemental Notice") dated 4  December 2019 of Air China Limited (the "Company") in relation to, among others, the proposed appointment of Mr. Zhao Xiaohang as a supervisor of the fifth session of the Supervisory Committee    of  the Company.

With respect to Mr. Zhao Xiaohang's biographical details set out in the Announcement and the Supplemental Notice, the Company hereby provides the updated version as follows:

Mr. Zhao Xiaohang, aged 57, graduated from Tsinghua University majoring in management  engineering and holds a postgraduate diploma  and  a  master's  degree. Mr.  Zhao  served  as  director, vice president and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of China National Aviation Corporation (Group) Limited from May 2004 to February 2011. He concurrently served as director of China National Aviation Company Limited from July 2005 to November 2015 and general manager of China National Aviation Company Limited from July 2005 to May 2016, and director and general manager of China National Aviation Corporation (Macau) Company Limited from April 2007 to February 2016. He also served as chairman, executive director and general manager of Air Macau Company Limited from December 2009 to April 2011. Mr. Zhao has also been  serving  as  vice  president and a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party  Committee  of  the  Company since February 2011. He is also a  director  of  Shandong  Aviation  Group  Co.,  Ltd.  since April 2011, non-executive director of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited (00293.HK) since June 2011 and chairman of Dalian Airlines Company Limited since August 2011. Mr. Zhao was also appointed as the chairman of Air Macau Company Limited in March 2016, a member of the Communist Party Group  of  China  National  Aviation  Holding  Corporation  Limited  in  August  2016,  Vice General Manager of China National Aviation Holding Corporation Limited as well as vice chairman of China National Aviation Corporation (Group) Limited and chairman of China National Aviation Media Co.,  Ltd. in December 2016. Mr. Zhao was appointed as the chairman of China National Aviation Capital Holding Co., Ltd. in September 2018 and non-executive director of TravelSky Technology Limited (00696.HK)  in  June 2019.
