Permanent TSB Group Holdings plc ('PTSBGH')

Identification as an Other Systemically Important Institution and Associated Buffer

Permanent TSB Group Holdings plc ('PTSBGH') has been notified by the Central Bank of Ireland that it is to be identified as an Other Systemically Important Institution ('O-SII') in Ireland. O-SIIs are institutions which are systemically important to the domestic economy or to the economy of the EU. This O-SII designation reflects the systemic importance of PTSBGH following the recent structural changes in the Irish banking market.

PTSBGH has also been notified that an O-SII buffer of 50 basis points is to be held in the form of CET1 capital from 1 January 2025.

The Central Bank of Ireland conducts an O-SII assessment on an annual basis and determines the O-SII designation and associated buffer in line with EBA Guidelines on the criteria for the assessment of Other Systemically Important Institutions.
