NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 19, 2024-- Dune Real Estate Partners LP (“Dune”), a leading New York-based real estate investment firm, today announced a series of four promotions across the organization:

• Alexander Chan was promoted from Director to Managing Director on the Investments team and has been named to the Dune Investment Committee;
• Monica Scieszka was promoted from Vice President to Director on the Investments team;
• Paul McLaughlin was promoted from Manager – Portfolio Analytics to Vice President in the Finance and Accounting group; and
• Joshua Hassid was promoted from Associate to Vice President on the Investments team.

Team Biographies

• Alexander Chan, Managing Director. Alexander Chan is responsible for originating and evaluating new investment opportunities and executing value creation strategies at Dune and is a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Dune in 2022, Mr. Chan was a Vice President for QuadReal. From 2010 to 2020, he was a Vice President for Angelo Gordon where he focused on the firm's acquisition and asset management activities in the Western U.S. Prior to that, Mr. Chan worked for Berkeley Partners, a real estate investment and operating firm which specializes in light industrial real estate, from 2009 to 2010. Mr. Chan received a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School and a B.A. in International Studies and Russian in 2008 from the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania. He is also an alumnus of The Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business, a dual degree program in language, the liberal arts, and business.

• Monica Scieszka, Director. Monica Scieszka is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and structuring new investment opportunities and executing value creation strategies at Dune. Prior to joining Dune in 2019, Ms. Scieszka was an Associate at Walton Street Capital focused on the acquisition of commercial real estate. Ms. Scieszka received a B.B.A (High Distinction) in 2016 from The University of Michigan – Ross School of Business.

• Paul McLaughlin, Vice President. Paul McLaughlin is primarily responsible for the quarterly valuation of fund investments and provides fund-level portfolio analytics to inform senior management fund-level decision-making. Prior to joining Dune in early 2019, Mr. McLaughlin was a Consultant on the Real Estate Valuation team at Deloitte where he advised clients to effectively procure, manage, and value investments in real estate to maximize returns and reduce risk. Prior to joining Deloitte, Mr. McLaughlin was a Project Manager at Blue Sunsets LLC focusing on investment returns across the company’s real estate portfolio. Mr. McLaughlin received an M.B.A. from Georgetown University in 2015 and a B.A. in Mathematics from the College of the Holy Cross in 2011.

• Joshua Hassid, Vice President. Joshua Hassid is responsible for evaluating, underwriting and leading the due diligence process for new investment opportunities as well as helping to execute the business plans and value creation strategies for Dune’s existing investments. Prior to joining Dune in 2021, Mr. Hassid worked in numerous investment capacities at Kennedy Wilson (NYSE: KW), a global real estate investment company that owns, operates and invests in real estate located in the Western United States, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Mr. Hassid received a B.S. in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California in 2017.
