The Company’s transportation network provides rideshare, bikes, scooters, car rentals, transit and vehicle services through its Lyft Platform. The Company offers a set of transportation modes in select cities, such as access to a network of shared bikes and scooters (Light Vehicles) for shorter rides, first-mile and last-mile legs of multimodal trips, and information about nearby public transit routes. Its Lyft Rentals is an offering for renters who want to rent a car for a fixed period of time for personal use. Its transportation network offers a viable alternative to car ownership. In addition, it also offers car maintenance, roadside assistance, and parking to meet them where they are in their transportation journey for those Lyft riders who have a car. The Company collects service fees and commissions from drivers for their use of its ridesharing marketplace.
