About the company

Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC is a Sri Lanka-based company. The principal activities of the Company are the cultivation, manufacture, sale, and export of Black Tea and Rubber, and the sale of solar generators and other crops. The Company's segments include Tea, Rubber, Coconut, Tea Export, Solar Project, and Others. It produces tea in three types: black tea, green tea, and white tea. It also cultivates a variety of spices, including thyme, cardamom, mustard, whole cloves, black pepper, rosemary, chives, mandarin, and pandan. The Company produces three types of rubber: ribbed smoked sheets, latex crepe rubber, and centrifuged latex. The Company owns plantations spanning approximately over 7,000 hectares. It has one spice processing factory, six rubber estates, two rubber processing factories, and sixteen estates in the lush Uva highlands. The Company has investments in one subsidiary, Malwatte Species (Pvt) Ltd, which engages in the business of manufacturing and selling spices.
