Appointment of Director

Aseana Properties Limited (LSE: ASPL), a property developer in Malaysia and Vietnam listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, announces the appointment of Richard Boleat as a non-executive Director with immediate effect.

Richard qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in the United Kingdom in 1987 and subsequently worked in the Middle East, Africa and the United Kingdom prior to returning to Jersey in the early 1990s.  From 1996 he was a Principal of Channel House, a Jersey based financial services group, which was acquired by Capita Group plc in September 2005 and he led their financial services client practice in Jersey until September 2007, prior to co-founding Governance Partners LP, an independent governance practice.

He currently acts as a non-executive director of a number of substantial collective investment and investment management private entities and is active in a number of asset classes including global macro, leveraged corporate credit and EM real estate.

Richard currently acts as the Chairman of CVC Credit Partners European Opportunities Fund, SME Credit Realisation Fund Limited and Yatra Capital Limited, as well as being a Director of M&G Credit Income Investment Trust plc.

He is personally regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission in the conduct of financial services business and is a member of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA), the International Corporate Governance Network and the European Corporate Governance Institute.

In accordance with the obligations under Listing Rules 9.6.13R, Richard Boleat held the following directorships of a publicly quoted company in the previous 5 years:

·    appointed Chairman of the board of CVC Credit Partners European Opportunities on 20 March 2013, and currently holds the position;

·    appointed Chairman of the board of SME Credit Realisation Fund Limited on 19 August 2015, and currently holds the position;

·    appointed Chairman of the board of Yatra Capital Limited on 27 January 2010, and currently holds the position;

·    appointed to the board of M&G Credit Income Investment Trust Plc on 19 September 2018, and currently holds the position;

·    ceased to be the Chairman of the board of Phaunos Timber Fund Limited on 13 November 2018;

·    ceased to be a Non-Executive Director of PI Power International Limited on 19 October 2017;

·    ceased to be a Director of AI Airports International Limited on 29 December 2015.

The Company confirms there are no further disclosures which are required to be made in accordance with LR 9.6.13R.
