Appointment of a new Non-Executive Director
The board of Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust plc ("the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Metcalfe as a Non-Executive Director of the Company, with effect from 19 September 2019.
Mr Metcalfe has extensive equity fund management and investment trust experience, with a deep understanding of UK investors having previously worked in senior positions at Newton, Schroder Investment Management and Henderson. He is a non-executive director of JPMorgan US Smaller Companies Investment Trust.
Mr Metcalfe does not currently own any shares in the Company and there is no further information to be disclosed in respect of paragraph 9.6.13 of the UKLA Listing Rules.
