Suspension of trading on AIM pending publication of annual accounts
Agriterra Limited, the AIM listed African agricultural company announces that the Company will be unable to publish its audited annual report and accounts for the year ended 31 March 2019 (the "Accounts") by 30 September 2019, as required by Rule 19 of the AIM Rules for Companies (the "AIM Rules").
The delay in publication of the Accounts has arisen as a result two incidents of theft at an operational level (currently estimated to amount to less than US$15,000 in total) which must be investigated prior to release of the Accounts. The Company wish to confirm that the staff involved in these thefts have been dismissed and local management, having undertaken appropriate reviews, are confident that these were isolated incidents and that there is not a systemic issue.
The Company is in the process of finalising investigations into these incidents and will thereafter look to finalise and release the Accounts with as short a delay as possible
Due to the delay in publishing of the Company's Accounts, dealings in the Company's ordinary shares will be temporarily suspended from trading on AIM under AIM Rule 40, with effect from 7.30 a.m. on Tuesday 1 October 2019 until such time as the Accounts have been duly published in compliance with AIM Rule 19.
Notwithstanding the temporary suspension of trading in the Ordinary Shares, the Company will continue to make announcements as and when there are any developments that require announcement under the AIM Rules.
