Auto Trader Group plc (LSE: AUTO, "Auto Trader" or the "Company"), the UK's largest digital automotive marketplace, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sigga Sigurdardottir as an Independent Non-Executive Director to its Board, with effect from 1st November 2019. Sigga will also join the Audit, Renumeration and Nomination Committees.

Sigga has worked in the financial services industry for 18 years, pioneering digital transformation at both American Express and Santander UK, and will be joining Tesco Bank as Chief Customer Officer in November 2019.

Following Sigga's appointment, the Board comprises four Independent Non-Executive Directors, three Executive Directors and a Non-Executive Chairman, and representation of women on the Board increases to 50%.

Commenting on the appointment, Ed Williams, Chairman of Auto Trader, said:

"Sigga's extensive experience in digital transformation will be a valuable addition to the Board, and her financial services expertise will support Auto Trader as the business continues to build on its consumer finance offering. I am delighted to welcome her to the Board."

There are no further disclosures required in respect of this appointment under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority.
