Ferguson acquires New York based HVAC distributor, S. W. Anderson

Ferguson plc today announces the acquisition of S. W. Anderson Sales Corporation ("S. W. Anderson"), an HVAC equipment and supplies distributor headquartered in Farmingdale, New York.

Founded in 1955, S.W. Anderson provides HVAC equipment and supplies to residential and commercial contractors, retailers and commercial property owners. The Company employs approximately 150 associates across 10 locations and in the year ended 31 December 2018 it generated revenue of $90 million.

Commenting on the acquisition, Kevin Murphy, CEO of Ferguson Enterprises and Group CEO Designate, said:

"Ferguson is committed to growing our business in the New York metro area, which is one of the largest and most attractive markets in the USA. We recently acquired Wallwork Bros Inc. and Blackman Plumbing Supply both of whom are well respected companies with long standing customer relationships in the region.

"S.W Anderson complements our existing HVAC business, including Wallwork by offering additional product lines to our customers and even greater choice. Through these acquisitions Ferguson can now offer an even wider selection of equipment to meet our customers' needs."
