Anthony Healy decides to leave NAB

National Australia Bank announced today that Chief Customer Officer - Business and Private Banking, Anthony Healy, had decided to leave after 10 years of executive roles with the bank in Australia and New Zealand.

NAB Group CEO Ross McEwan said Mr Healy had led Australia's largest business bank operations at a critical time and had a strong track record of growth and industry leadership.

"Anthony has been recognised for his strong customer focus, innovation and market leading results. He has been a champion for supporting our small to medium enterprises, the engine room of the Australian economy, and the development of regional and rural Australia," Mr McEwan said.

"He has been a key member of NAB's executive leadership team through a challenging period and I have valued his support since I joined NAB. I wish him well for the future."

Mr Healy has led the Business and Private Bank since 2018, following eight years in NZ including almost four years as CEO and Managing Director of the Bank of New Zealand.

"I'm proud of the businesses which I have been a part of building in Australia and New Zealand. We play such an important role for the people and communities that we serve," he said.

"I am confident that under Ross' leadership, NAB will continue to thrive in a challenging banking environment. Now is the right time for me to consider what the next 10 years look like, professionally and personally."

Mr Healy will continue in his role until 30 April. Michael Saadie will act as Chief Customer Officer - Business and Private Banking, subject to regulatory approvals, while NAB searches for a permanent replacement. Mr Saadie has been Chief Risk Officer - Business and Private Bank since 2017 and with NAB for more than eight years.
