Halma notes the announcement released by Hill & Smith Holdings PLC ("Hill & Smith") this morning that Paul Simmons, currently our Safety Sector Chief Executive, and a member of our Executive Board, will be joining Hill & Smith as Chief Executive Designate on 1 September 2020.
Paul will leave Halma at the end of July 2020, and Adam Meyers, Executive Director, will replace him on an interim basis as Safety Sector Chief Executive from 1 July 2020 to ensure an orderly handover. Accordingly, Adam's retirement from the Halma Executive and plc Boards, which had been anticipated to occur in July 2020, will now be deferred. A permanent successor to Paul will be announced in due course.
Andrew Williams, Group Chief Executive of Halma, said: "I would like to thank Paul for his contribution to the Group over the last ten years and to wish him success in his new role at Hill & Smith. Adam's considerable experience and deep knowledge of Halma provides us with stability and continuity which will be valuable as we manage our businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic."
