Paul Glibbery appointed as Chief Information Officer to spearhead Grainger's technology transformation

Grainger plc, the UK's largest listed residential landlord, today announces the appointment of Paul Glibbery as Chief Information Officer, with responsibility for driving Grainger's technology transformation.

The appointment follows Grainger's significant investment in its technology platform, CONNECT, which will further differentiate Grainger's market leading position in the UK rental housing market. CONNECT is a integrated technology solution which will enhance the customer experience, improve operational efficiencies further and protect Grainger's license to operate.

Paul joins Grainger with over 20 years of extensive experience leading the delivery of global technology and digital business transformation programmes for major brands including Hewlett Packard, Airbus and Fujitsu.

During his 7-year tenure at Hewlett Packard, Paul acted as Delivery Director for HP Defence UK, led the Group's ES Business Transformation Programme within the EMEA Region, and ultimately was responsible for a US$250m Global Account and Sales team, with the remit of implementing a strategy for clients to transition the technology mix from legacy to digital services, working within strategic partnerships with Microsoft, AWS, and Dell.

In his new role, Paul will join Grainger's Executive Committee and will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and implementation of its industry-leading CONNECT platform and all IT operations within the business.

Helen Gordon, Chief Executive said:

"We are delighted to welcome Paul Glibbery to Grainger as our new Chief Information Officer.  This senior appointment will help drive our technology transformation and the roll-out of CONNECT, which has proven highly valuable during the current market conditions."
