Results of Audit Tender Process
National Express Group PLC (the "Company") announces that following a competitive tender process under the supervision of the Audit Committee, the Board has decided to retain Deloitte LLP as the Group's auditor.
The tender process has been held in compliance with the Competition and Markets Authority regulations, applicable EU requirements and Financial Reporting Council guidance. Following the Audit Committee's recommendation, the Board will propose the re-appointment of Deloitte LLP as external auditors for the year ending 31 December 2021 at the Company's Annual General Meeting in May 2021. Deloitte LLP has been auditor of the Company since 2011 and will be subject to mandatory rotation in 2031.
The Board would like to thank Deloitte LLP for its continued contribution as the Group's auditor, and the other firms that took part in the tender process for the time and commitment invested.
