Ince welcomes eight new partners to strengthen diversified offering

12 April 2021, London - International legal and professional services firm Ince is promoting eight lawyers to partnership with effect from 1 April 2021.

The new partners will enhance the firm's contentious and non-contentious practices, while bolstering the firm's position across its international network and full service range of sectors. These promotions reflect the continuing growth and success of the firm and its support to the development of its lawyers.

The newly promoted partners are:

Charles O'Connor, Shipping, London: Charles is a dispute resolution specialist, advising on shipping, insurance and general commercial matters. He frequently acts for clients in English High Court proceedings and in London arbitrations, particularly those under LMAA terms.

Cherry Stuckey, Private Client, Bristol:  Cherry represents private clients on the administration of taxable and non-taxable estates, as well as drafting of wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. She also advises on Court of Protection matters, including applications to the Court.

Christopher Crane, Insurance, London: Christopher specialises in a broad variety of commercial matters and disputes arising in the insurance sector including property and construction, reinsurance, professional indemnity, trade credit and cyber risks.

David Quinn, Real Estate, Cardiff: David's practice covers a wide range of real estate disputes. He also deals with general commercial disputes, including contractual, professional negligence and construction-related claims.

Ester Toumpouris, Shipping, Cyprus: Ester is a dispute resolution lawyer, specialising in dry and wet shipping, international trade and commodities. She has considerable experience advising on disputes arising under a spectrum of shipping and international trade contracts.

Julia Whyte, Employment, London: Julia's practice covers all aspects of employment law, acting both for employers and employees. She specialises in corporate clients with an international focus. She is also building a reputation across multiple sectors for her senior executive work, particularly in financial services and the legal profession.

Ruaridh Guy, Shipping and International Trade, Hong Kong: Ruaridh acts on behalf of shipping and trade clients on a range of dispute resolution matters. He also advises on non-contentious issues in the maritime and trade sectors and has substantial experience of contentious insolvency matters. Ruaridh is qualified in both England & Wales and Hong Kong.

Sally Roberts, Real Estate, Cardiff: Sally represents clients on all aspects of residential property law. Her expertise encompasses sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity. She also deals with deeds of easement, lease extensions and creation of new residential leases.

Julian Clark, Global Senior Partner at Ince, commented: "Following an impressive but demanding year, where people across the business have shown resilience and flexibility, I would like to congratulate our new partners on their well-deserved promotion. Their experience and expertise builds on the excellent and diverse legal advisory offering that we are able to offer our clients."

Adrian Biles, CEO, added: "I would like to echo Julian's congratulations and am delighted to see talent from across The Group progress and reach their fullest potential."

"Our clients continue to benefit from our growing international offering, investment in our people as well as through partners bringing an increasing number of innovative solutions to clients."

"Unlike a traditional partnership, as a listed firm with a corporate model, our funding is provided externally and our partners are not required to provide capital. Instead partners benefit directly from their efforts and the business is better able to invest in itself to further broaden the number of client needs we are able to support."
