Update re Equity Issuance
Further to the recent announcements made by The Law Debenture Corporation p.l.c. (the "Corporation") regarding the issuance of ordinary shares for the purpose of refinancing the acquisition of the UK company secretarial business from Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP, the Corporation has now raised its target of £20m.
Given the ongoing demand from existing and new investors, the Board intends to continue to issue ordinary shares in the Corporation, subject to the authority approved by shareholders at the Corporation's Annual General Meeting held on 7 April 2021. Ordinary shares will only be issued at a premium to net asset value and will be accretive to existing shareholders.
