MAIL.RU GROUP LIMITED

Mail.ru Group publishes its second ESG report

MAIL.RU GROUP LIMITED ("Mail.ru Group" or the "Company") announces the publication of an annual Sustainability Report, for the year ended 31 December 2020 ("2020 ESG Report"), which is available on its website at: https://corp.mail.ru/en/investors/esg/

Current report outlines our commitment to ESG and highlights the key results of Mail.ru Group's activities in the environmental, social and other sustainability-related initiatives for 2020. Disclosed qualitative and quantitative data has been prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative's GRI Standards, Core Option, along with industry specifics and best practices.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, our services became even more important in the day-to-day lives of millions of people, with the sustainability agenda coming into an even bigger focus for our company.

Our ESG strategy is to invest our technologies and expertise into the development of sustainable projects. One of our primary ESG focus areas is to improve the lives of people and communities through digitalization, with major focus on security and safety of our users' online experience. In 2020 we increased our focus on EdTech, with one of our major ambitions being to improve quality, accessibility and personalization of education in Russia. This will not only provide us with new talent as a company, but serves a broader goal of improving the educational landscape across the markets we operate in.

In 2020 we also boosted our support and integrations with local, small and medium businesses and communities, while further expanding our support and cooperation with charities in Russia.

We believe that the 2020 report represents progress in disclosure and transparency for our stakeholders around our non-financial reporting and we are committed to further significant improvement around our Sustainability efforts and goals in the area, with sustainability principles to be increasingly embedded into our Strategy.

Commenting on the report Boris Dobrodeev, CEO (Russia) of Mail.ru Group, said "COVID-19 and related shocks have accelerated the global digitalization process dramatically, placing even more responsibility on internet companies such as our Group on acting quickly but also responsibly, and placing equal priority on broadening our reach and the scope of services we offer on the one hand, while supporting our users and the communities in which we operate on the other. Our mission is to improve people's lives by making technologies simple and accessible to all, and to distribute our technologies and services in a way that has the least possible impact on the environment. We will continue to evolve and transform ourselves in order to continue to bring value and support to millions of our users, with respect for their privacy and the data they share with us. There is much in the past year that we can take pride in, but there is much more that can be done in the future to fulfil our primary goal: the welfare of our employees and customers, their families, local communities and local businesses, with the ESG agenda becoming increasingly important for our strategy, day-to-day operations and decision-making."
