Appointment of Two Independent Non-Executive Directors

The Board of Polar Capital Technology Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of two new independent non-executive Directors. Jane Pearce and Catherine Cripps will be appointed with effect from 6 September 2021. This is in accordance with the Board's overall succession plan.

Jane Pearce is an experienced non-executive director and Chartered Accountant with over 20 years' financial markets experience. She is currently a non-executive director of Shires Income plc and a Co-opted External Member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the University of St Andrews. Jane has a number of years' experience as a Technology Equity Analyst and as an Equity Strategist at leading investment banks. She has strong and recent understanding of corporate governance and current accounting standards.

Catherine Cripps is currently a non-executive director of Goldman Sachs International, Goldman Sachs International Bank and the Nuclear Liabilities Fund (NLF) Limited. She also acts as Chair of the Goldman Sachs International and Goldman Sachs International Bank Board Risk Committees and is a member of the Audit Committees and she is also Chair of the Investment Committee of NLF. She has recently stepped down as non-executive director of CQS Management Limited after 8 years of service Chairing the Remuneration Committee and the Performance Management Committee and as a member of the CQS Audit Committee. Catherine has in excess of 30 years' senior investment industry experience in a number of roles including Investment Director and Head of Research at GAM International.

A resolution proposing the election of Ms Pearce and Mrs Cripps as non-executive directors will be put to shareholders at the Annual General Meeting to be held in or around September 2022.

Neither Jane Pearce nor Catherine Cripps currently hold any shares in Polar Capital Technology Trust plc. There is no further information required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules in respect of either Jane Pearce or Catherine Cripps.
