Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting ("EGM")
888 (LSE: 888), one of the world's leading online betting and gaming companies, announces that the Notice of an EGM (the "Notice"), to be held on Thursday 16 December 2021 at 9:00 CEST (8:00 BST), has been published to the Company's website http://corporate.888.com. The EGM will be held at the offices of the Company at Suite 601/701, Europort, Europort Road, Gibraltar. A copy of the Notice is also available for inspection at the National Storage Mechanism and has been posted to shareholders.
The Board is convening the EGM to propose a resolution (the "Proposal") to relocate the Company's place of central management and control, and consequently its tax residence, to the United Kingdom (the "Relocation"). Notwithstanding this, the Company will continue to be a public limited company registered in Gibraltar under the Gibraltar Companies Act 2014. The Relocation has been approved by the Company's Board of Directors (the "Board") but is conditional on shareholders of the Company approving the Relocation and the adoption of new Articles of Association of the Company.
