It is with great sadness that the Board of Personal Assets Trust plc (the "Company") announces that Robin Angus, who was the Company's Executive Director until his retirement in September 2020, passed away on 4 May 2022. The Board's thoughts are very much with Robin's wife Lorna and his family at this difficult time.
Robin served as a Director of the Company from 1984 and Executive Director from 2002 and, together with Ian Rushbrook, was instrumental in establishing the vision for the Company and for overseeing its success, as reflected in the growth from £4.7 million to £1.3 billion during his tenure.
Iain Ferguson, Chairman, commented:
"We are all deeply saddened by the news of Robin's death. His ability to articulate the Company's investment approach and communicate with shareholders more generally through his Quarterlies was second to none. As a Board we would like to take the opportunity to re-iterate our sincere thanks for his exemplary service and diligent stewardship of the Company over the years. He will be sorely missed, not only as a colleague to the current and previous Directors of the Company, but also as a close friend to many associated with the Company and the wider investment community."
