GPE appoints Non-Executive Director

The Company announces that Champa Magesh will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 August 2022 and will become a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees from that date.

Champa is currently a member of the executive team at Trainline plc and President of Trainline Partner Solutions where she is responsible for Trainline's business travel business and its white label business, which leverages proprietary technology to provide rail companies with bespoke online platforms and mobile solutions. 

Champa has over 20 years' international business experience gained in multiple industries and diverse functional areas, underpinned by a strong technology focus, and a background in leading successful customer-facing and digital transformation initiatives. Before joining Trainline, Champa held senior positions at Amadeus IT Group between 2015 and 2020, including the global role of Executive Vice President of Retail in Travel Channels and Managing Director, EMEA.  Champa has previously held leadership roles at American Express, Royal Bank of Scotland and Cisco Systems.

Commenting on the appointment, GPE Chair Richard Mully said:

There are no additional matters that would require disclosure under LR 9.6.13 R in respect of Champa Magesh.
