Appointment of Adviser

The Board of VOF, the only UK listed fund focused on providing broad exposure to both listed and private equities in Vietnam, and currently is the only Vietnam-focused closed-ended fund that pays a regular dividend to investors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Barclays Bank PLC to provide investor engagement services for the Company with immediate effect.

The appointment complements the existing UK and European arrangement for investor engagement services provided to the Company by Frostrow Capital and Numis Securities.

The Board and Investment Manager look forward to a productive engagement with Barclays Bank PLC that will help support the Company in its ongoing efforts to diversify the shareholder base to continue to attract global investors.

About VOF

VOF is a closed-ended investment company and FTSE-250 constituent whose shares are traded on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. Its objective is to achieve medium to long-term returns through investment in assets in (or derived from) Vietnam.

The Company provides broad exposure to Vietnam's robust economic growth from investments across listed and private equity asset classes, with a focus on privately negotiated investments in sectors that contribute to and benefit from the growing domestic economy.

Since 2017 to date, VOF is the only Vietnam-focused close-ended fund that pays a consistent, semi-annual dividend to investors. The Board recognises the importance of dividends to many shareholders, and the current dividend policy is to pay two dividends per year, each at a rate of approximately one percent of Net Asset Value ("NAV").

VOF is managed by VinaCapital Investment Management Limited, one of the largest independent investment management groups in Vietnam.

At 31 August 2022 the Company had Net Assets of US$1.2 billion.
