Hays plc (the Company), the leading global specialist recruitment company, is pleased to announce that Zarin Patel will join the Board of Hays plc as an independent Non-Executive Director on1 January 2023, and become a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees on appointment.
Zarin is a chartered accountant who spent 16 years at KPMG followed by a nine year period as Chief Financial Officer of the BBC, and latterly was the Chief Operating Officer of The Grass Roots Group plc, a customer and employee engagement specialist.
Zarin is a non-executive director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Anglian Water Services Limited and Pets at Home plc, the Senior Independent Director of Post Office Limited and a member of its Audit and Risk Committee, a member of the HM Treasury Board and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of HM Treasury.
Zarin is a Trustee of National Trust and chair of its Audit Committee.

The Company confirms that there is no further information about Zarin Patel requiring disclosure under paragraph 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
