Directorate Change

Molten (LSE: GROW, Euronext Dublin: GRW) today announces that Karen Slatford has decided to retire as Chair with immediate effect for health reasons.

As Chair, Karen has been responsible for leading an effective Board, upholding high standards of corporate governance throughout the Group, and ensuring Molten's strategic focus and direction. She was appointed to the Board as Chair in June 2016 with the admission to AIM and played a critical role in Molten's development prior to IPO until today, including the move to the London Stock Exchange's Main Market in 2021.

Grahame Cook (Senior Independent Director) has been appointed by the Board as Interim Chair with immediate effect, in addition to his existing role as Chair of the Audit, Risk and Valuations Committee. The Board will conduct a search for Karen's permanent successor.

Grahame Cook, Interim Chair, commented:

"It is with regret that the Board has accepted Karen's decision to stand down as Molten's Chair. She has been a stalwart since the build-up to our AIM listing in 2016 in helping guide and improve our business. I'd like to thank her on behalf of the Board for her guidance and support over the years."

Martin Davis, CEO, commented:

"Karen will be a hard act to follow, she has provided invaluable leadership to myself, the executive team and the Company as a whole, for which we are all deeply grateful. Her influence in growing the business to where it is today cannot be underestimated and we all wish her the very best."

About Molten Ventures

Molten Ventures is a leading venture capital firm in Europe, developing and investing in disruptive, high growth technology companies. We inject visionary companies with energy to help them to transform and grow. This energy comes in many forms - capital, of course, but also knowledge, experience, and relationships. We believe it is our role to support the entrepreneurs who will invent the future, and that future is being built, today, in Europe.

As at 30 September 2022, Molten Ventures had a diverse portfolio with shareholdings in 78 companies, 21 of which represent our Core holdings and account for 64% of the Gross Portfolio Value. Our Core companies include Aiven, Thought Machine, Coachhub, Graphcore, and Ledger. We invest across four sectors: Enterprise Technology, Hardware and Deeptech, Consumer Technology, and Digital Health and Wellness, with highly experienced partners constantly looking for new opportunities in each. We look for high-growth companies operating in new markets, with high potential for global expansion, strong IP, powerful technology, and strong management teams to deliver success. We also look for businesses with the potential to generate strong margins to ensure rapid, sustainable growth in substantial addressable markets.

Molten Ventures provides a unique opportunity for public market investors to access these fast-growing tech businesses, without having to commit to long term investments with limited liquidity. Since our IPO in June 2016, we have deployed over £970m capital into fast growing tech companies and have realised over £450m to 30 September 2022.
