Field Sampling Completed at Mila's Kathleen Valley Project
Mila Resources (LSE:MILA), the post-discovery exploration accelerator, is pleased to announce the completion of a field sampling programme conducted by the Liontown Resources Limited (ASX:LTR) ('Liontown') team at the Kathleen Valley Project in Western Australia ('Kathleen Valley' or the 'Project'). A total of 15 samples were taken of in-situ pegmatite veins by joint venture partner, Liontown, with results pending.
The programme was completed alongside the Tjiwarl people following extensive communication and engagement with the Tjiwarl Aboriginal Corporation. Through close collaboration, Liontown identified areas where geological sampling could proceed while protecting culturally sensitive zones.
The results of the sampling programme are expected to bolster results from previous exploration work undertaken by Liontown and previous operators, which has included mapping, soil sampling and aerial image surveying, in order to refine the geological model for Kathleen Valley and determine the most prospective targets for future exploration.
Mark Stephenson, Director of Mila Resources:
"We are delighted to receive this positive update from Liontown, both that their communication and relationship with the Tjiwarl peoples is good, having allowed the team to take samples, and to see their exploration plans for our licence to take shape. We continue to stay in close contact with Liontown as they focus in on defining the southern extension of the Kathaleen Valley pegmatite belt, revealing the potential of the pegmatite swarms hosted on our land package. We look forward to seeing how these results help refine future development plans at the Project and to working together with the Liontown team to realise the full potential of our Kathleen Valley Project."
