MAY TRAFFIC CONTINUES TO SEE THE SAME POSITIVE GROWTH TREND AS APRIL

Geneva, 3 June 2025: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air"), one of the most sustainable European airlines, announces passenger and CO2 emission statistics for May 2025.  

 

Wizz Air carried 5.7 million passengers during the month of May, a 10.3% increase year on year. Seat capacity increased 10.0% YoY, resulting in a load factor of 91.2%, up 0.2ppt on last year's load factor of 91.0%.  

 

During the month:  

 

·      The increase achieved in passengers carried and the associated lift in loads is very encouraging, particularly given the timing of Easter the month before.

·      Wizz Air continues to be one of the lowest emission airlines, reporting a further decline in CO2 emissions per RPK in May, down 3.4% YoY, to 51.1 grams. This also represented an improvement month on month of 40bps.

·      Wizz Air will release its F25 report on Thursday 5th June at 7am BST.
