Notification of Data Security Incident

RentGuarantor (AIM: RGG), a leading provider of rent guarantee services to prospective tenants seeking to rent property in the UK¹ private rental sector, announces that it has recently been subject to a global information systems security incident (Actively exploited cPanel bug exposes millions of websites to takeover | Malwarebytes), whereby one of the Company's servers hosted by a third-party provider has been compromised by a data breach. The incident was identified promptly, and an investigation is ongoing by the Company to determine the extent to which data may have been accessed.

The incident has had no impact on RentGuarantor's operations or other corporate systems, with current trading activities and financial accounts, including Company bank accounts, remaining unaffected. The Company has been quick to take action, including the closure of the identified vulnerability and the implementation of enhanced additional safeguards to strengthen its systems and mitigate the risk of recurrence. The Company continues to closely monitor its security.

The Company believes at this time that the compromised data related to customer information. As a precautionary measure, the Company advises all customers to change their account passwords without delay.  The Company has reported the incident to the Information Commissioner's Office.

The Company will provide further updates as and when appropriate.
