His responsibilities include building and strengthening local client relationships, driving revenue growth and expanding market presence across the Gulf Coast. Mr. Smith reports to Greg Martens, Central Market CEO.

Mr. Smith has more than 20 years of experience in consulting and has been at Mercer for 17 years, most recently serving as a Partner and Senior Client Relationship Manager in Mercer's Houston office. He has experience across multiple industries, more recently focusing on Energy and Healthcare while leading Mercer’s Healthcare Vertical for the South Central market. He has expertise working in HR, benefits, outsourcing and targeted solutions to help clients optimize HR delivery. Mr. Smith has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University.
