New approaches to data-informed, small-group instruction. Guided by data from practice, application, observations and assessments, lesson plans incorporate new small-group instructional features for educators to provide personalized support based on each student’s needs. New approaches include
Study Group which provides on-grade-level scaffolded instruction with teacher support for those students who need it as well as Independent Practice opportunities for students who are ready to apply their skills without support from the teacher.Focus Group provides explicit instruction to meet students where they are – independent of grade-level scope and sequence. - Rich, relevant texts. Emerge! incorporates carefully curated text sets vetted by a team of experts to help teachers introduce their students to the world around them. With deep, multi-genre explorations into literature, science and social studies, each text set offers new ideas and perspectives to help students build comprehension and make connections while also honoring the unique identities and experiences they bring to the classroom.
