Imagen Dental Partners Awards Nearly $10K in Scholarships to Concorde Career Colleges' California Students

Scholarships part of emerging workforce solutions partnership forged earlier this year

SAN DIEGO , Aug. 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Concorde Career Colleges and Imagen Dental Partners today announced the three recipients of Imagen Dental Partners'$3,325 scholarships to students at Concorde's Garden Grove, San Bernardino, and San Diego campuses. This is the second round of scholarships Imagen has awarded to Concorde students and is part of a workforce solutions partnership announced earlier this year to address the demand for dental hygienists in California.

Imagen Dental Partners is a Dental Partnership Organization (DPO) with over 110 partner practices in 16 states. Their collective ownership model fosters clinical autonomy and promotes excellence and innovation in dentistry.

Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Sameeri Puri noted, "Imagen is deeply invested in shaping the future of dentistry. Many of our partners have welcomed Concorde graduates into their teams and consistently found them to be highly capable and ready to contribute day one. Supporting scholarships for Concorde students is a natural extension of that alignment. It reflects our commitment to cultivating emerging talent and uplifting individuals who are eager to make a lasting difference in dentistry."

Originally from rural Nepal, Bishnu Khatiwada, scholarship recipient from Concorde-Garden Grove, is committed to being more than a clinician – he aims to bridge the gap in oral healthcare access for underserved communities.

"My past experiences fuel my purpose. Coming from a community where people lived without even basic oral care, I carry a responsibility and passion to give back," said Khatiwada.

Genessis Amigon, scholarship recipient from Concorde-San Bernardino, is committed to giving back through patient education and community outreach. As a mom and immigrant, she's overcome barriers to education through persistence, purpose, and leading by example.

"I am proud that I am setting a great example for my kids… they've seen every sacrifice I've made to follow my dreams," said Amigon.

Concorde-San Diego's scholarship recipient Tram Le-Doan is a Navy spouse who is passionate about supporting military families through compassionate, informed dental care.

"I hope to make a meaningful impact by providing care and support to those who serve our country and their loved ones," said Le-Doan.

"We appreciate Imagen Dental Partners' commitment to our students, and to empowering individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in healthcare. Service to community is one of Concorde's pillars, and these scholarship awardees and their inspiring stories truly exemplify that community-minded focus," said Kevin Prehn, President of Concorde Career Colleges.

In addition to the California scholarships, Imagen plans to engage with Concorde's dental hygiene students in Florida and Texas through campus visits and career fairs, as the company addresses workforce demands in those regions.

Concorde's dental hygiene curriculum blends online and on ground coursework with in-person lab instruction and clinical experience to prepare students to enter the dental industry in as few as 17 months.1

Nationwide, employment of dental hygienists is projected to grow 9% from 2023 to 2033, much faster than the average for all occupations.2 In some states, the demand is significantly higher. In California, employment for dental hygienists is expected to grow by 15% from 2022 to 2032.3
